Projektbeschreibung:
Augmented Reality (AR) has been developing rapidly in the past years, and the acceptance of this technology is growing among the users of smartphones and tablets. Educational applications and resources that use AR technology are also growing both in number and quality. According to the recens review “Meta-analysis of the impact of Augmented Reality on students’ learning gains” (Garzón & Acevedo 2019), the technology has overall a positive impact on learning gains, especially in STEM. However, most educators lack sufficient digital skills and are unaware of the pedagogical approaches necessary to successfully use the available digital tools to advance their teaching practices and their professional development.
Zielstellung:
The iPEAR project aims at empowering European educators with the right digital and pedagogical competences in order to enable them using innovative AR tools and collaborative learning methodologies, such as peer learning.
Vorgehen:
In order to mainstream the adoption of educational AR apps, iPEAR will assemble a comprehensive overview of available offers, collect best practices, create guidelines for educators and develop an online course to deliver these materials.
Projektlaufzeit:
September 2020 – August 2023
